From the Chair to the Lab
Why The Meltdown™ Was Created For over 20 years, I’ve been a professional loctician, educator, and beauty entrepreneur. I’ve worked on hundreds of heads. I’ve taught countless students. And I’ve helped women fall back in love with their hair again. But one thing never sat right with me… Week after week, clients would come to me wanting to remove their locs and the only real options were:
- Cut it.
- Suffer through weeks of combing.
- Lose length.
- Lose density.
- Lose confidence.
Conditioners helped a little. Detanglers helped a little. But nothing truly worked. And as someone who was doing at least one loc removal every single week, I knew there had to be a better way. So I decided to create it.
Built by a Loctician. Tested on Real Clients. The Meltdown™ did not start in a factory. It started in my kitchen. Between appointments. After long workdays. Through trial, error, and dedication. Over the course of more than a year, I tested and refined eight different formulas personally on real clients with real hair:

Every version was evaluated for:

If it didn’t protect the hair, it didn’t make the cut. If it didn’t work consistently, it went back to the drawing board.
